Would you like to help others in the same position as you are or have been?
We believe those who have been through the experience are often the best ones to help others. For this reason we are always looking for more people who have, or have had, someone close to them in prison, to work with the String of Pearls Project. As a trainer
We would offer you free training in becoming a String of Pearls Project trainer. Once trained, you would work with another String of Pearls Project trainer using our arts-based interactive training methods.
As a mentor
We have combined with Relate to provide a 4-day OCN accredited training in mentoring skills. Additional to this we are offering a Relate 4-day OCN accredited training introduction to counselling skills to guide you on the important boundaries a counsellor must observe to be effective. You may qualify for either subsidised or free access to these courses. Once trained, you would become part of the team of String of Pearls Project mentors we will be promoting for voluntary work with social services and family support agencies. Expenses will be paid.
